Promoting FUN in Luton

In celebration of Volunteers Week, our Services Manager Nazma attended an event hosted by Luton Borough Council promoting Opportunities and Aspirations. The event took place in St Georges’ Square in Luton Town Centre yesterday.

Nazma was joined at the event by Support Worker Steve, who generously gave up his own time yesterday to help promote our FUN services and talk about our volunteering roles.
Steve started at FUN as a volunteer over 2 years ago, and over this time has developed his skills and is now a fully paid member of staff working across many of our FUN projects as a Support Worker.

Nazma and Steve were presented with a certificate of thanks from Luton Borough Council for Families United Networks’ continued commitment & contribution in providing volunteering opportunities in Luton. The certificate was presented by Councillor Naseem Ayub, the new Mayor of Luton.

If you, or anyone you know is interested in volunteering for FUN, please take a look at our vacancies page on our website.
