Holiday Respite Club

Holiday Respite Club has been created for our members to access during school holidays.  Families have consistently expressed the need for more short break services (respite) during school holidays.

Holiday Respite Club is a short breaks service designed for young people with disabilities and/or additional needs aged from 9 to 17 years.

The Holiday Respite Club runs for one session each week during every school holiday and will be based at our Activity Centre in Luton.   It will provide opportunities for the young people to spend time with their peers whilst being supported by FUN staff; allowing their families to take a break from their usual caring responsibilities.

Before attending, each young person will be assessed to determine what the appropriate level of support is for them at the club.

The young people will remain onsite at our Activity Centre during the sessions and will have access to all of the equipment and resources that our Centre offers.  They will also participate in other activities onsite that aim to promote their independence, social skills and self-confidence.

Each session will run from 10am to 4pm.  This is a full respite service, so parents and carers are not required to remain with their young people.

From April 2019, Sessions will cost £35.00 for all families from Luton and Central Beds.  Please contact the office if you live outside of these areas.

Families that have registered and received an induction can book online.

For families wanting to access the service, you will need to register and attend an induction. please contact the office on 01582 420800 for information about accessing our respite services.

Sessions must be pre-booked and paid for in advance.

Cancelled Bookings
Refunds for respite club bookings can only be given if the place is cancelled at least seven calendar days before the date of the club.

Please be aware that new dates for Holiday Respite Club will be available to book from 10am on the 25th of each month (or the nearest working day after this date).

If you do need to book your place directly with the team at FUN HQ then please note that Emails and telephone calls will only be accepted after 10am on 25th of each month.  This is to ensure that we have a fair booking policy for all our families.
