FUN Opportunity Play
FUN Opportunity Play is for children aged 0 – 5 years with a diagnosis of disability or additional need as well as those that are going through the diagnosis process or have been referred to specialist services.
The aim is to offer families the support and guidance that is crucial to families at the early stages of referral or diagnosis.
FUN is able to offer:
- Safe and non-judgemental play environment for the child and their siblings
- Support and Guidance from other families in similar circumstances
- Visits from professionals such as therapists, nurses, health visitors to help parents with advice and support
Sessions will be held weekly on a Tuesday morning, 9.30am – 11.30am, term time only. £2 per child. Under 2 years are free.
There is opportunity for parents to build new friendships and gain support from others, within a non-judgemental environment. Parents that have already experienced similar circumstances can be a helping hand to new parents facing the challenge of supporting a child with additional needs. By parents and professionals coming together the process can be made a little easier for families
