FUN Member Update

Dear FUN Members

Following the meeting of our Trustees on 29th March, we are pleased to let you know that our services are again beginning to move forward in line with government guidance and the changing situation with the pandemic.

Respite Club (ages 9-18) & Junior Respite Club (ages 4-11)

We are pleased to say that the number of places offered at our respite clubs will be increasing again from 24th April to allow more children and families to access the sessions.  New dates for respite sessions during late April and May will be open for booking from 10am on Tuesday 6th April 2021.  Most of these sessions will again be bookable via our website from this date, or you can call the office to book and pay by bank transfer or cash.

We are also delighted to announce that our older Respite Club (ages 9-18) will once again be returning to a 6-hour session 10am – 4pm from 24th April 2021 .  So don’t forget that your young person will need to bring a packed lunch.  We will also again be offering the young people trips out into the community in small groups during the session, using our minibus.

Our Junior Respite Club (ages 4-11) will continue to offer morning and afternoon sessions 9.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-4.30pm (please note the time change for the afternoon session).

If your child has not attended our respite clubs before and would like to do so, please contact us to arrange an induction with our Club Coordinator.  Once your child’s induction is complete, they will then be able to book onto our sessions.

All of our staff will continue to wear PPE and our Covid policies and hygiene measures will remain in place.

Youth Club & Young Adult Club

We are delighted to inform you that our Youth Club and Young Adults Club will be returning onsite to FUN HQ from Monday 12th April 2021.  Session times remain unchanged 6.30pm-8.30pm for Youth Club and 6.30pm-9pm for our Young Adult Club

Members are welcome to pay by cash on arrival at club, or alternatively, you can pre-pay for your sessions via our website.

If your young person is interested in our Youth Club or Young Adults club sessions, but they have not attended onsite before, please contact us on 01582 420800 for more information and to speak to our Club Co-ordinators.

All of our staff will continue to wear PPE and our Covid policies and hygiene measures will remain in place.

Holiday Club

Sadly, our usual half-term May/June drop-in Holiday Club will not be able to go ahead as normal this year.  Instead, we will again be offering 2-hour sessions across each day accommodating four households at a time (as we did at Christmas).  The dates and times of these sessions will be sent out by email, Facebook and added to our website shortly, along with pre-booking details and information.  Fees for these family sessions will be our normal holiday club rates – £6 per child, £15 for three or more children.  Unfortunately, members will again be restricted to one booking per family, to allow us to help as many families as possible; and we will again be operating a waiting list in case of any cancellations.   Our usual Covid policies for accessing this club will continue to apply.

Hydrotherapy Swimming

Unfortunately we are not yet able to re-start our swimming sessions.  We are very mindful that this is an important service for some of our members and we will update you again as soon as we have any more information about when these sessions may be able to resume.

Please look out for our emails, Facebook posts and the information on our website for further updates about our services.

Many thanks & kind Regards

FUN Staff & Trustees
