Holiday Respite Club 7th August 2019
FUN Holiday Respite Club is a short breaks service designed for young people with disabilities and/or additional needs aged from 9 to 17 years.
The FUN Holiday Respite Club runs for one session each week during every school holiday and will be based at our Activity Centre in Luton. It will provide opportunities for the young people to spend time with their peers whilst being supported by FUN staff; allowing their families to take a break from their usual caring responsibilities.
Before attending, each young person will be assessed to determine what the appropriate level of support is for them at the club.
The young people will remain onsite at our Activity Centre during the sessions and will have access to all of the equipment and resources that our Centre offers. They will also participate in other activities onsite that aim to promote their independence, social skills and self-confidence.
Each session will run from 10am to 4pm. This is a full respite service, so parents and carers are not required to remain with their young people.
11am – Karaoke with DJ Steve – Disco, Karaoke and party games.
1.30pm – FUN’S Cinema – Film shown on our large screen. Popcorn will be served
