Member Update 3/01/2021

Dear Members,

Given the recent increases in Covid19 cases in our area, it is with great regret that the FUN Trustees have taken the difficult decision to suspend all face-to-face services during January 2021.

This means that there will be no services running from the FUN Activity Centre during January.  This decision will be reviewed again by the Trustees on 18th January 2021 and we will update our members the following day on 19th January.  Full refunds will be issued to all members who have booked places at any of our January clubs.

Whilst we will continue to plan for a return to face-to-face services for February, because of the uncertainty with the development of the pandemic, the February club dates will not now be opened for booking until 20th January 2021, after the Trustees have reviewed the situation.   Rest assured that we will send out a reminder of this new booking date nearer the time.

As an alternative to our onsite clubs, we are working to re-establish our weekly online sessions of Youth Club and Young Adult Club from week beginning 11th January, and more details about this will follow tomorrow.

Please also be aware that during the month of January we will have reduced staff working in the office and our phone lines will now only be manned from 10am – 3pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  We are encouraging our members to contact us via email wherever possible during this time: info@familiesunitednetwork.org.uk  

Whilst we are very disappointed to have to take this decision, we are also very concerned at rising case numbers and the increased likelihood of transmission of the virus at our clubs, and the safety of both our members and our staff.

As always, we are very aware of the impact that suspending our services has on our members, and we remain determined to reinstate our services as soon as possible once local case numbers are reduced sufficiently.
