Trips & Activities
FUN organises trips & activities that can be accessed by the whole family. Our family-centred trips enable our members to get out into the community together with other families who are living with similar challenges. Our trips out provide opportunities for mutual support and friendship for both the disabled young person and their family carers.
Many families with a disabled young person can find venturing out to new activities or places difficult and scary. Attending together within a group provides the confidence and support that families often need to try new activities together.
Each year FUN offers a trip to a Pantomime at a local theatre. These theatres have worked with FUN over a number of years and understands the special needs of our members.
FUN aims to provide further opportunities for families to attend trips and outings together throughout the year. Wherever possible FUN exclusively hires venues and attractions to ensure that families can enjoy activities within an understanding and non-judgemental environment, without the fear of negative reactions from the general public.
We strive to raise funds through our fundraising events to subsidise all FUN trips in our activities programme.
FUN CHRISTMAS PARTY!
Tickets for our FUN Christmas party 2023 will go on sale at 11am on Monday 27th November!
Join us at FUN HQ on Wednesday 20th December 2023 from 6pm to 8.30pm
Come and visit Santa in his grotto and get your festive celebrations off to a great start!
Tickets cost £6 per person (for both adults and children) – Children under 2 years go FREE.
*Ticket cost includes music, games, party food and a visit to Santa’s Grotto!
*Our party will take place in the main hall – however, there will be no access to the bouncy castle, soft play, ball pond or play areas at this event.
Please note this is a members only event and tickets must be pre-booked in advance
